What does it mean to me to be Green?
As one of the fortunate early participants of The Environmental
Forum Training Course, I was acknowledged with The “Betty
Furness” Award, for intense consumer advocacy. Betty Furness
worked with the Johnson administration in the position of
Special Assistant for Consumer Affairs. She later won the
Peabody Award. As my Mothers name was Betty this seemed to
have personal meaning to me.
I gained a wealth of environmental information with the forum,
that went on to affect ever decision I made there after. My
report at the end of the Forum involved the daily choices we all
make and how those daily choices affect our environment and
ultimately ourselves. Living in Marin it is easy to be
environmentally minded and to make choices to lighten ones
carbon footprint.
I went on to create Eco-Friendly Green San Francisco
Destination Wedding Packages amidst the beautiful Landmarks
of the city. Providing all-inclusive intimate weddings that utilize
locations that require no decorations, sustainable flowers, all
digital photography, rechargeable batteries along with wedding
celebrations at established locations rather then bringing
everything to the location. Internally as a business we reduce,
reuse, recycle and rethink ever decision through the lens of an
environmentalist.
Over all Green Eco Weddings offer intimate memories to
treasure for a lifetime without leaving behind a footprint. This is
how a Bride becomes a Wife that will become a Mother that
demonstrates environmental awareness in her world.
